Nice beach with lifeguards. Car park, toilets, showers and change rooms available. Highest protection index sun screen recommended. We spent a day late January, put on sun screen, did a quick-not-thorough-enough job, and got sunburned where the protective layer was not rubbed in.Update January 2019Came back on a Tuesday and lifeguards were not on duty. But still a great beach to spend the day. Best to bring a tent that can sustain 20-30km/h winds for additional shade.

Beautiful beach for a family day out. Has a playground, bbqs, shaded picnic tables and a fish and chip shop across the carpark if you don't pack your own lunch
Beautiful beach, strong current and powerful waves so some care is needed. There are life guards on duty though.
Always beautiful. There are small, protected beaches on either side of the main beach if the surf is too vigorous. Plenty of spots for families to relax and enjoy the beach and rock pools
